- Specials The Tea Estate Khongea was founded in the late nineteenth century by two female English tea planters and has been owned by the Prakash family since 1949. With great dedication, they look after the garden and the local workers. Khongea is one of the tea plantations near the Brahmaputra River where the special tea plants of the P126 clone are grown, which produce alluring golden tips and an unmistakable flavour.
