- Specials In the heart of today's Puttabong, it was the British pioneer and tea planter Dr Campbell who laid the foundation for tea cultivation in Darjeeling in 1852. The garden is thus the first in the region and one of the largest today. The name, literally translated as 'house of green leaves', is an expression of the special dedication to the tea plants. In-between refers to the short period between First and Second flush, in which the characters of the two seasons combine harmoniously.
