- Specials The Alma tea estate was founded by British tea pioneers and has been in existence since 1880. Today, it is home to Sri Lanka’s highest-altitude certified organic tea factory and works closely with various small-scale organic farmers in the surrounding area. The remote tea-growing region of Uda Pussellawa is shaped by cool temperatures and thick mist – this highland climate produces first-class, characterful high-grown teas. With its carefully rolled, wiry leaf and fine, highly aromatic flavour, the OP1 is one of the country’s most elegant teas.
