- Specials In the 2000s, Mrs Milan Kumari Khatri successfully started her own tea production. Although she lacked the appropriate machinery, she processed the tea leaves by hand and used sunlight and fire to dry them. Her handcrafted tea became very popular in her home town and in Kathmandu, which enabled her to set up her own factory.For this green tea, oxidation is halted using dry heat at around 400 °C. The leaf is then carefully rolled, giving it its distinctively twisted shape.
