- Specials Pi Lo Chun originated in China and was brought to Taiwan in the 19th century by Chinese immigrants, who introduced both the tea plants and traditional processing techniques. During the Japanese colonial period, cultivation was systematically promoted and modernised. A distinct Taiwanese style of tea developed, differing from the Chinese counterpart in both taste and appearance. This Pi Lo Chun was hand-picked and produced in limited quantities. The Chin-Shin-Ganzai cultivar gives the tea its typical fruity, brisk aroma.
