- Specials Dark Pearl Oolong is a speciality among Formosa teas. Not only is it the most oxidised Taiwanese Oolong, it also combines two production techniques. The leaves of the Oolong tea cultivar Chin-Shin are first oxidised, which is what characterises a classic Oolong. This is followed by accelerated oxidation with the help of moisture and heat, which is more typical of a black tea. These steps bring out the incomparable sweetness of the tea.
